The Eastern Michigan Eagles football program is a college football team that represents Eastern Michigan University (EMU) in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The team competes in the Mid-American Conference in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA.
The Eagles were founded in 1891 and played their first game against Michigan State Normal School. The Eagles have won five undefeated seasons, in 1906, 1925, 1927, 1943 (holding opponents scoreless), and 1945. They have also won two MAC championships, in 1970 and 1978.
